Slow Roll
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Slow Roll?
Slow Rolls are free, inclusive, and slow-paced community bike rides that emphasize social connection, community engagement, and city exploration, over speed. No matter your cycling experience or age, these rides are for everyone. We’ve partnered with MassBike to make sure you have a fun and safe time, while also teaching you about cycling safety and even about the ABCs of Bike Repair.
What do you mean by the ABC’s of Bike Repair?
ABC’s of Bike Repair stands for Air, Brake and Chain. It’s a fun and practical maintenance crash course led by MASSBIKE that’ll get you feeling confident about keeping your wheels spinning smoothly.
How long is a Slow Roll?
Most Slow Rolls are under 5 miles, along the way we’ll make some stops at landmarks, cafes, breweries or favorite local spots. Our goal is to make it a fun and educational experience.
Do I need to bring anything?
Apart from a helmet, be ready to enjoy the scenery and meet your community.
I don’t have a bicycle; can I still ride?
No bike? No problem! We can give you a free Blue Bike code.
How often are the Slow Rolls happening?
We have two Slow Rolls planned out for this year, one on October 21st and a nighttime ride on November 6th. For future Slow Roll rides check out our calendar.
